J2 Resources is the brainchild of co-founders Joe Dugan and John Brunetti. The partners both have an impressive and diverse background having worked at privately held and large corporate organizations. Their experience in these companies, while hugely valuable, helped identify the need for a direct distribution model.
Joe said: “Our experience has enabled us to fully understand the demands a traditional distributor is put under – many times it’s about securing an order versus supplying the best solution for the customer. When we decided to start J2 Resources, we targeted the areas that needed to be improved to ensure we deliver the right products and services to our customers with a new and different business model.”
J2 Resources works with manufacturers and suppliers to deliver PFF, Valves, Automation and Engineered Products to their customers. The company also offers a wide range of services from routine order processing and logistics, to document control and materials management for major projects.
Joe said: “Our model is designed to be an advocate for our customers. Rather than having to operate within a restricted framework, we deliver flexible solutions to meet the customer’s needs.”
The team understands the value of traditional distributors but recognizes the parameters they must work within. J2 Resources overcomes these limitations by leveraging a proficient and low cost-to-serve business model that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
J2 Resources has no plans to have large distribution centers. Instead, they will have warehouses that support their model and will be used for bundling, cross-docking, staging, and other functions necessary to serve their customers. They utilize relationships upstream in the supply chain bringing customers closer to the product source.
“We are leveraging what already exists without adding a complex ‘middle man’ to the equation,” John said. “We’re removing links in the supply chain in addition to operating a low-cost business model. Collectively these factors allow our customers to realize immediate and long term cost savings,” he added.
John and Joe have been joined at J2 Resources by Account Manager Austin Steinhauser. Together, the team brings more than 45 years of industrial distribution experience and assists their clients by making sales and purchasing a simple and straightforward task.
